Bad news Evolve players, dedicated servers close in september.
Turtle Rock Studio’s are shutting down their dedicated servers for 4v1 game Evolve. Players will still be able to play via peer-to-peer connections in the games original version, now known as Legacy Evolve. However, Evolve Stage 2 will soon no longer be available to newcomers. The leader-board based Hunt mode, will be shut down as a result.
Turtle Rock Studios have stated that all players will keep their bought DLC, skins, Monsters and Hunters. The in-game store will be unavailable after the 3rd of september, and encourage players to spend any in-game currency they have left before it shuts down.
Evolve had a luke-warm reception when it came out in 2015, and became free to play in 2016 With Evolve Stage 2, with microtransactions. It is available on Pc, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, with a 76 (Playstation 4), 77 (PC) and 74 (Xbox One) on metacritic.
