It appears the game will be centered on a journey of two brothers trying to walk their way to Mexico from Seattle.
DONTNOD has finally released the first major trailer for Life Is Strange 2, with a release date of September 27th for the first episode. The blurb on Steam reveals that “Two brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz, 16 and 9, are forced to run away from home after a tragic incident in Seattle. In fear of the police, Sean & Daniel head to Mexico while attempting to conceal a sudden and mysterious supernatural power.”
For those who have played The Amazing Adventures Of Captain Spirit, you may recognize the brothers, as the characters who appeared right at the closing moments of the game. Episodes two through five will be released later on. Square Enix, the game’s publisher, have mentioned in the past, that this will not be a direct sequel to Life is Strange or Life Is Strange: Before The Storm, and instead will simply reference those games and it’s characters, acting as a sort of anthology/shared universe. Either way, this game seems it will be promising. Square Enix have also stated that your choices from Captain Spirit, will carry over to Life is Strange 2.
A 20-minute gameplay has also been released onto YouTube, showing off the game’s graphics and story.
